General information
Participation is restricted to 40 participants.
Registration is scheduled on Sunday, September 3rd, from 14.00,
at the University Guest House
Morning sessions and tutorials
The school will be held from September 3rd to September 8th
at the Chemistry Departments of the Torino University.
The morning sessions will be devoted to lectures by experts. The afternoons
will be dedicated to practical sessions. In the tutorials it will be shown
how to obtain information concerning various observables using the
CRYSTAL code.
Posters
Participants will have the opportunity to present posters, that will be on
display for the whole period and discussed during a special session on Thursday
7th, afternoon.
Social events
On Sunday 3rd, a Welcome Party will be offered after the opening ceremony
and the preliminary session.
On Thursday 7th, afternoon, after the poster session, there will be a guided tour in
Turin, followed by the Social Dinner, in the evening.
Participation fee
The participation fee is 600,00 € (500 + 20% taxes). It includes:
- accommodation at the University guest house
in shared double room
(seven nights, from Saturday 2nd to Friday 8th September 2006, included)
- coffee break (morning 4-8/09/06) and lunch during the poster session (Thursday 7th)
- all social events
Few single rooms are available, they will be assigned on a "first come first
served" basis. The cost of participation in single room is
720,00 € (600 + 20% taxes).
Notes:
- Lunch and Dinner on September 4-5-6-8 are not included.
- For non resident attendants the participation fee is 360,00 €
(300+20% taxes) (items 2-3 above, included)
For attendants who prefer an independent accommodation, see
list of hotels in Torino.
The local organizing committee will not take care of hotel reservation.
Grants
If funds are available, a limited number of grants will be offered to partially cover
participation costs (no support to travel expenses can be given).
A participation contribution of
120,00 €(100+20%taxes) is required.
Attendants applying for grants should provide a
recommendation letter
by their supervisor, group leader or senior scientist.
